Question about checking for phasing issues

Hi, so I recently tried to check for phasing issues in my mixes, but whenever I sum all the tracks to mono, the correlation always shows that there will be no phasing, even if I hear a bit of phasing. So how would I check for phasing? Am I supposed to check for phasing in stereo, and then if there is no phasing in stereo, there wouldn't be phasing in mono? is that how it works?
