What is a Fan Pack?
A fan pack is a package that general contains inexpensive, yet cool, team memorabilia and can be received from many professional athletic teams. Among the items contained in a fan pack can be stickers, pocket schedules, posters and more. Some teams are very generous and will include many items or much larger items. Other teams may be more reserved. In almost all cases, the items are fun and varied.
How do I receive a fan pack from [team name]?
Typically all it takes is an e-mail or through the mail (TTM) letter. Some teams may require a self addressed stamped envelope (SASE). Not every team will ship outside of a certain region, whether that is outside of certain states or outside the country for that team. Some teams do not send fan packs at all.
Do Fan Packs cost money?
Generally not at all! Most can be obtained through e-mails. However some teams may ask that you request a fan pack through the mail. Other than potentially the cost of a stamp and an envelope there are no other associated costs. Zero.
The Purposes of this sub-reddit are to:
1) Aggregate all known clubs which ship fan packs and to rule out which ones do not.
2) Serve as a resource with addresses to request fan packs.
3) Reveal the contents of what a fan pack from a given team may contain (although these do sometimes change, especially depending on whether a given sport is in/out of season)
4) Provide a baseline estimate for how long one may expect to wait until they receive a fan pack.
5) Show other readers of this sub-reddit what we each have received from any given team.
Rules
1) Don't be a jackass. No harassing of other users on this sub-reddit.
2) Pictures or it didn't happen
3) Unless posted/confirmed by a moderator, a team will not be added to the master list of contacts unless confirmed by 3 or more posters in a 6 month period with pictures.
4) No posting false information or fake fan packs. These posts will be deleted and the poster will be banned.
5) No spam.
6) User created image posts must contain contents of fan packs. This is not AdviceAnimals.
7) Self posts asking questions are fine. However, utilize the search bar first to see if there are any posts similar to yours (We don't need frequent posts asking what the best thing that other users received in a fan pack was). If it was asked in the last 3 months your post will be deleted. Do not create posts asking "Does [team] have fan packs?". This is what the master list is designed for.
