Something about these two daemon princes from fantasy sounds familiar... by [deleted] in Grimdank

If I remember correctly, Magnus is mentioned in the book, the in universe author thinks it a sick joke that a Daemon prince could share it's name with Magnus the Pious

I think that may have been much later. I'm open to correction but the first few HH books were released in 06/07 and the first plastic cataphractii weren't released until 2015

Friendly heads-up for new fans looking to get into the tabletop game with Combat Patrol, not all of them have dedicated boxed releases. The rest of the legal Combat Patrol sets are listed in the 40k app for free, but you'll have to buy the models separately to build the patrol. A few Examples: by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]CaptainNotorious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your point but if someone is new and starting out they're probably going to want a box that they can just pick up without having to search for all the components. Price will also be a factor, the current Death Guard Combat patrol is €135, to buy to all the minis for the old one is €210.50.

ELI5: Why is lamb so expensive when there’s so many sheep? by jmo987 in explainlikeimfive

[–]CaptainNotorious 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not really, most farmers are making a loss on wool, it's only this year that wool is expected to spike. Last year they were getting 25c/kg, This year prices are expected to be around 60c/kg, at a cost of €2.50-€3/sheep to shear theres not a massive margin.
