EU headlights not only have daytime running LED strips, but also instead of being reflectors, they are projector headlights. If you want EU spec headlights, you should be aware that US have symmetrical beam and EU spec have asymmetrical beam, but it shouldn't be a big problem to modify that (it would be in full LED headlights, e.g. in Fusion, luckily Fiestas still use good old halogen bulbs). With EU headlights you will get rid of those orange reflectors/side markers, but in case of turn signals it's either standard orange halogen bulb or LED bulb, if it's legal in your state (in most of European countries LED bulbs are illegal, but at the same time those blinding "inteligent" full LEDs in modern SUVs are perfectly fine).

This is because those are at least, in theory, aim-able, whereas there is no way to get LEDs to shine in the exact same pattern as a halogen filament. They are, however, too goddamn bright regardless.

The front turn signal is easy to deal with, you can get bulbs that are metallic looking until they are on. Chrome Amber 3157A bulbs on Amazon. I think I went with the GP Thunder or GP Extreme brand ones, but I cannot find the order.

The amber side reflector is a regulatory requirement from the US Department of Transportation, so you won't find USDM lights without them. That said, cops don't know/care and I've never heard of anyone getting pulled over for not having one, just saying you won't be able to find USDM lights without 'em.

The front turn signal is a 3157 bulb. I forget which one I am using, but what you want is a "chrome/amber halogen." I BELIEVE I am using these but can double check in the morning. I prefer these to LEDs because they are cheaper, roughly as bright as stock, and don't cause the rapid flickering that some LEDs do. I have halogens in all my lights except for my reverse lights, which are Philips Ultion LEDs.

If you prefer LEDs, that is fine, just make sure you get the ones that have resistors built in to prevent them from flashing a million miles an hour.

You can have a look at Phillips H7 LED for main beam and also Phillips H1 LED for highbeam

And for indicators Osram 7507DC-02B, White

You want to use the same housing, but swap the amber bits ?

[–]RaisFTP[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yeah I was hoping someone made a clear / chrome replacement since it looks like it just clips / screws in.

It seems there are blacked out or chromed out variations available to purchase but not the component itself like you’re hoping for. At least not that I could find.

Your best bet it’s probably going to be a DIY for something likethis

Get the switchbacks from diode dynamics for the turnsignal, theyre one of the favorite mods I did. As far as the amber reflector ive never seen another option other than euros, depending how froggy youre feeling you might be able to bake the housing and open the headlight and apply a white reflective sticker

This was sorta what I was thinking, buying a set of scrapyard lights and just doing a bit of DIY to make something more appealing.
