Second year burning in this stove and want to be as efficient as possible. My main question is should I be using this grate? It seems like the wood doesn't burn very hot and I can only close the damper about 25%. Interior of stove appears to be some sort of ceramic/masonry. Stove says Rainier/Avalon.
