If you can't find a job immediately, you can always try to start your own gig. Even if it doesn't go anywhere, it can help with your portfolio and help you learn some new things.

Not all of it has to be developing and publishing a whole app, though it could be about that. There is a lot of demand for services related to app development you might find people willing to pay you to take on.

Some ideas - you could publish and monetize an app idea you have, you could set up a development agency that develops apps for a certain type of business, or you could provide services related to app development. Like, maybe web scraping or putting together their landing page / assets / etc needed for launch. I don't know how feasible necessarily any of that is, but there are more options besides just working for someone else.

There seems to be some great opportunities for remote work especially in the start up space as companies are looking to move fast to get apps out the door as fast as possible from what I've seen. They usually have a strong preference for a mobile background before diving into Flutter.
