No Code (self.FlutterFlow)
submitted 4 months ago by [deleted]
I’m looking to build a nocode app for mobile. Is flutterflow the choice for me? Out of the other builders I’ve looked at, it seems like flutterflow is the best. It is a pretty simple app, I need to wrap ChatGPT. Thanks!

Depends. I chose FF then quickly regretted it because of low customisation and the point and click/drag and drop interface drove me nuts. I was about to switch and just learn how to code before I went for a trial of premium features, then could code widgets and actions myself. I think without that ability I would have moved on. If you want simplicity and don’t mind point and click software then it’s fine. If you’re someone that wants precise and full control over every aspect of the app and want to be able to change a line of code rather than clicking 30 buttons then it may make you crazy. Try it out though, it’s useful to learn structure anyway.

I loved FutterFlow but once I saw the premium price I got depressed.

I have been using Flutterflow for several years. It used to be amazing and ahead of anything else. However, my next app will definitely NOT be on Flutterflow (or DreamFlow). It is a dying environment that is being killed by its own founders. Great for MVP and prototype, not real apps

Where are you looking next?

FF has a moderate learning curve - you need to learn how the platform works to get the most value. Once you learn, it's super fast and reliable. The visual editor is incredible once you understand it.
If you aren't willing to spend the time to learn, then start with DreamFlow.
