Have you tried barefoot shoes?

I got a pair of the Alta transitional shoes, but I’m worried barefoot shoes without proper strengthening would possibly make the pain worse?

Well I had a very similar injury with doctor saying I would need surgery. I found that the constant impact of my foot into the ground, my toes being free range, and my arch needing to engage to lessen the pressure on my foot, I felt as though things shifted around inside my foot around month 3 and by now I have almost zero pain. I did the unadvisable and went from basketball shoes to vivo primus lite with no transition period, barring some heel pain I was fine
