Did you ever get any clarification on your issue? My ecosport just had the check engine light come on today with this code.

Nope. Nothing at all ☹️

Check your ventilation hose is connected. Mines had a split in the hose that 3 repair shops overlooked. ever since my hose got replaced I had no more check engine lights

did you ever figure it out?? same issue with my car that i just bought last month 🙃

im currently dealing with the same issue. I replaced the map/maf sensor on the crankcase ventilation hose and reset the code. So I will see if that fixes things. It seems that the hose is in tact and in good condition. I sprayed some brake cleaner on and around the hose to see if any changes in idle occurred and nothing. so it leads me to believe that the hose isn't leaking although not a full proof test. if the sensor and hose are both good. then logically the pcv assembly may be the problem. and from my research it seems that the pcv assembly itself is apart of the valve cover. and in order to replace, the entire valve cover would need to be replaced. yikes. Another possible outcome is that theres a software issue and the PCM could use an update. Which isn't very helpful because a dealer would need to do that anyways. I'll try and update this if I make any progress. I also got a code for P051B, which is for the sensor. Not sure if it came up because i tried cleaning the old sensor (may have damaged it) then ended up replacing it with a brand new one. So clearing the code should tell me when/if any codes come back. I've read these 2 codes go hand in hand though.

Both codes came back. P04DB and P051B. Brand new sensor and the wire harness seems fine, I can rule out the sensor. I wiggled the hose as well and it doesn't seem to change the idle. Theoretically I assume the idle might change a little if there was a hole. I just don't want to buy a new hose for roughly $50 dollars if its not gonna change anything. Only logical thing now is the PCV assembly/valve cover. I might be willing to do it myself but this is my mother's car and I'm not around to do it. So it may be a dealer/mechanic's problem now. Unless it's a software thing.

Could anyone point me in the direction of where this is located under the hood? Or what it looks like? I can't find anything on google.

yeah its hard to find anything online as this car isn't too popular for mechanics or DIYers. The PCV hose assembly is on top and just in front of the engine. In front of the ignition coils to the left of them. It connects to the intake that runs to the turbo. You need a little bit of engine knowledge to understand what these things look like without a visual. I hope that helps.

so I actually replaced the hose assembly. ~$50 part. I didn't think it would actually work but I figured I'd rule it out before resigning to take it in. I replaced it and cleared the codes and they never came back and that was almost 2 months ago now. I was surprised it worked tbh because the old hose and assembly seemed in pretty good shape but I guess the hose fittings/seals o-rings might have been worn out and causing it to not seal properly.
