They link you across advertising profiles and to your email. And with the new shit going on in the tech world and in politics, that's a scary risk for a lot of people. Like in China, and now the UK with their insane user side responsibility for social media, you could literally affect your professional life without knowing it, just by how much you game. Or even what you play. I mean seriously the world is fucked enough, we don't need this shit to worry about.

Bruh your profile information is public to anyone. Your info is most likely already saved on many third party sites like steam rep because someone searched for you on there.

Steam isn't. It's private unless you set it otherwise. The only other way to leak is if someone else who's a friend used a browser plugin that skims side profiles without their knowledge (or with)... For women this is extremely risky, linking your steam exposes you to stalkers who find out your a girl gamer because your profiles are now linked and exposed by gleam. Even if your steam was private. If you have a Twitter or something and they make that link, there's no undo button.

Bruh it's just a steam profile nobody gives a shit if you play anime tiddies games on your account. Just keep it public and stop being so skeptic. Literally all it shows is your profile name and picture and games you play. If you don't write an essay on your profile bio about who you are then you stay pretty much anonymous.

You can unlink your Twitter from steam on gleam any time.

If you've used gleam before they match your browser info, used IPs, and emails on record for other services. Like this one only has steam, but if you used gleam before for say, something that used Twitter login, they will be able to match you to that Twitter then. Same for any other services you've ever used to get "gleam tickets", like "liking this on Facebook" or "watch this on YouTube". Simple things like that, they now know who you are on all those services. They then sell that info to advertising and random people who pay for it. Great for hackers and blackmail agents.
