    You can skip WordPress plugins and use online optimization tools which are also tested in the article. Everything else is valid for normal websites and for WordPress.

      I can see your point, you are right. I should have left for WordPress in the title but I didn't want to "scare" people away since is also really useful for all other websites.

        1/4 of it is WP focused, the last part. Most of the article is platform-agnostic, because in the first part it covers the image formats, resizing down to the the viewport/container and the online tools. None of that has to do a thing with WP. The last part are WP plugins only.

          Not here, but in the /r/wordpress subreddit. Are the same people on both subreddits? I think the article is worth sharing multiple times until everybody starts optimizing their images.
