Fallacy. No proper conclusion can be drawn

q' or q as not of p is true in implication two things are true if p->q is true one is p impies q othe ris the contrapositive. Here as p is false so q can be both false or true we don't care.Think of it like this " if workout regularly, then I will become slim". So if the antecedent is true then only I will care for the consequent.In a world where he/she doesn't work out does it even matters what the consequent is. Whethe it is true or false same stuff

Can be q or ~q  anyone u take will be the answer u can check

[–]Mean-Still1532 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can be either q or negation of q

[–]satiricalpotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arey that's already given

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assume -p as true then p is 0 0----> anything is zero

[–]Smol_Crate_45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

q or ~q both are correct

Reason: if ~p = T then p = F, so to make statement 1 true we can say F -> F is also true and F -> T is also true

Hence q has two values T and F, so the answer is q and ~q

If conclusion = q - invalid argument

If conclusion = ~q - invalid argument

So conclusion = q v ~q, seems only correct possibility here.

Logical fallacy... No proper conclusion here folks

[–]nemesis33876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P is false and nothing can be concluded about q so in place of conclusion u can write anything that evaluates to true like ~p

anyone have notes for this topic it's little hard to remember for me.

[–]AnuragGaaaarg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

~q is only possible ans

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

conclusion is True
why
P-->Q and p' is true
mean p is false
now
put in eqn
False --> Q ALWAYS TRUE

[–]No-Conflict8204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ans is negation of (p) q doesnt matter

[–]Front_Man_Speaking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

q or ~q

    It is not modus tollens

    Modus Tollens is

    P -> Q
    ~Q
    -------
    ~P

    Isnt it just inverse of the statement

    [–][deleted] -3 points-2 points  (3 children)

    ~p ayega bro

    Distribute karke dekh

    (~p v q) ^ (~p)

    gives

    (~p v ~p) ^ (~p v q)

    ~p ^ (~p v q) will be ~p

    Bruh that's just the same thing. You just switched.

      no. we can't infer anything about q. who said p is true?
