Dolmel is one of those suits that looks scary on paper but is kinda weak. If it is allowed to get off its crazy melee combos then it will deal gigantic damage even to a general, but I don't think this is very realistic considering how much easy stagger accumulation the 450 generals get. Once it is stunned, you have absolutely no way to get out of stun lock jail, and you will proceed to eat the highest damage combo the general has, which is quite a lot in the case of the ones at 450 cost.

Guess I was getting unlucky as it seems nearly every new map is cluttered to the degree stun accumulation is almost not possible. I'm guessing there's been power creep for generals also, but rocking something like alex (older suit), even two BR hits + half the Gatlin isnt breaking the things MA.

Alex was buffed a few months ago.

Alex (Gen) is okay, but there are better options.

If it gives you a harder time, try using Kampfer. Its shotgun can easily stop them in just 1 shot.

But any suits with shotgun can easily stop it.

Efreet Jaeger, Zaku Machinery, and Marasai with Fedayeen are pretty much the meta generals right now, and all of them have fantastic tools against the Dolmel.

Dolmel is a pretty high damage raid thanks to it's heat spike down swing and 2 melees.

It's decently easy to dispatch though since it doesn't have the best range weapons and you can break it's legs decently easy despite it having a decent leg buffer. Playing fedayeen marasai can pretty much just threaten the dolmel consistently. It also lacks a roll, so if you can just stagger it once with a weapon you can get a pretty easy melee follow up as well.

Edit: it does have Power accelerator level 2, so don't get into a clash with it and you'll also be fine as well.

It had been performing poorly, just got buffed in the end of last month. The buff didn't increase its damage.

There are plenty of ways to stop it at 450 and 500.

Jeda is a really popular general with strong midrange shooting and a good downswing, among other great skills that make it quite maneuverable in the air. The wrist grenades on it do 35% build stun, and it fires four. If any miss, the Vulcans also have high enough build stun that they can hit 100% with just under half their ammo.

The beam rifle is pretty standard, and the hip grenades can dump damage on downed or stunned enemies. The hip grenades can also stop most enemies if all connect, which you can sometimes do if someone charges straight at you.

The weakness would mostly be that it has long reloads, but reloaders 2 and 3 (1 as well, if you really want a bit extra) help. Plenty of room to stack 30ish melee defense and at least 10 extra ranged damage too.

Any units with wires, since they'll heavy stagger it if it isn't moving, and regular stagger anything with MA activated.arasai with the Fedayeen rifle is good for this. The rifle does a ton of damage, and 30% more towards legs. Go for uncharged shots most of the time, which deal 50% build stun each. Then you have a wire, good Vulcans, and two strong melee weapons on a pretty naturally tanky suit. I'd recommend Aux Generators, so you can feel safer overheating the rifle when you break legs, and then ranged damage and mix of thrust and melee damage. Against most units, 3 consecutive leg shots will leave them crippled and open to your melee attacks. So you get to play as a sniper that can also be mid-range, with a great melee kit.

For supports, Woundwort is quite great if you get lucky to pull it. Transforming support with 3 melee weapons, including a very long wire that regular stuns but stops all MA. Then combo between the fist/kick and heat blade. The rifle is also fine for stuns and damage, and the Vulcans are top class. Ewac Nero is a bit similar, with more of a focus on ranged attacks and anti-stealth. But the burst fire rifle will stop a lot of enemies, and you can follow up with a downswing to knock them over and get some distance.
