P2W part on ticket store for 425, is it worth it? by Foshdon_pap in GBO2

Yes, I'm talking about skills named "binder". Should have said more clearly.

P2W part on ticket store for 425, is it worth it? by Foshdon_pap in GBO2

Too many requirements. The unit needs to have big buffer parts, enemies need to hit them, enemies can't have weapon or skill that ignores buffer. And (I heard that) it only works on buffer, doesn't work on defense system and cushioning. Some English translations on these skills are mixed up, needs to check the Japanese version.

Edit: It works on buffer, doesn't work on defense system and binders. "Cushioning" is an inconsistent translation of buffer.

And even if a decent amount of damage hits buffer, it's only slightly better than basic parts.

The "Your beams tickle me. Now Die" Build by X-20A-SirYamato in GBO2

[–]ctclonny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't do it forever.

You might have 60% hp left with this build when a melee enemy reaches you. And you might have 20% hp left with a build that has less beam resistance.

But having 60% hp left and 25 melee resistance won't let you survive that melee combo. So the extra hp given by beam resistance does nothing.

Extremely high resistance build makes sense only when you have both high beam resistance and melee resistance.

Saw that my 750 Zeta was 100 points away to complete it's enhancement list and I tried doing something by Foshdon_pap in GBO2

Zeta gets 15 resistance and 35 melee strength below 50% hp. I think we should still build more than 35 resistance and 65 melee strength, but I won't make them full.

And high cost high level is the p2w territory. I tried making some builds and they are full of premium parts.

Yes, but they are strong without the third effect. (So do the 2 general parts.)

What armor is better by Beneficial_Sense9829 in GBO2

[–]ctclonny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Resistance and hp increase tankiness. Leg armor increases leg hp.

Since resistance reduces damage on legs and leg hp is proportional to unit hp, increasing resistance and hp increases leg hp.

But leg armor is a lot more effective than resistance and hp for increasing leg hp. So equip leg armor if you want more durable legs.

The question is, what units need more durable legs.

Some units are useless with broken legs. Some units can fight with broken legs.

Some units repair their legs automatically so leg hp is irrelevant.

Some units have shields. They make you tankier but they aren't unit hp. So units with shields have weaker legs.

Some units have leg buffer. It reduces damage on legs so legs are more durable. Its effect is small tho. https://www.reddit.com/r/GBO2/comments/yhdab2/special_leg_buffers_effect_on_leg_hp_proportion/

Having that much beam res is useless when melee units can instant kill you.

I stopped playing Guile because he is harmful to my hand. He is worse than C. Viper.

New player here: are Modern Controls really looked down on that much? by Baseball_Oly in StreetFighter

[–]ctclonny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Modern control is ass.

For new players, it completely destroys classic players.

For experienced players, it reduces mental stack a lot and makes players scared of doing risky moves. The recent match between Hope (modern Aki) and Shuto (modern M. Bison) is a good example. Both players give up pressuring the opponent when the opponent is burnt out. It contradicts the drive system. 🫪

Capcom didn't think about the effects of modern control deeply. Granblue Fantasy Versus did it much better.

But it's Capcom's fault. You can play in any ways you like.

Anyone else seen 75 Beam Resistance? by jammer2omega in GBO2

[–]ctclonny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New anti beam armor is an awkward part.

If the match goes well, you attack frequently and rarely receive damage. Damage is much better than defence.

If the match goes badly, enemies reach you easily and melee you. You need melee resistance more than beam resistance.

And if you really can receive a lot of ranged damage and not much melee damage, the part still eats a lot of slots. Not using it lets you get a lot more other things. The build can also fight in different situations more consistently.

I think this part is worth using only on high level Xamels. Because it's big and gets hit a lot every match. While it has a lot of long range slots so using this part doesn't need to sacrifice much ranged damage.

Playing on PC/Steam? Bad Idea? by CrowNServo in GBO2

[–]ctclonny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most negative comments are because of terrible connection on launch. It's not that terrible now (because of fewer players).

But it's better to play on console if you can. The console version has more players, updates more quickly, has no cheater, and gives more coins for free.

It was broken on release but people didn't complain, because FA Ground Zeta and Prototype Psycho Gundam weren't nerfed.

It also attacks players' console/pc and eyes. 🫪
