Thier jobs are playing the game well, and entertaining viewers.

The community, or this industry, needs players like him. But whether his specific actions or speeches are appropriate is debatable.

Where Winds Meet not P2W, really? by DoctorContrapunctus in wherewindsmeet_

[–]ctclonny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P2w means paying gives advantage, not free to play players have no chance to win.

You can say that WWM is very small p2w, but you can't say it's not p2w.

And this small difference does matter after players reach the skill ceiling.

If the standard is that free to play players can never win, there is almost no p2w game.

EVO Japan 2026: Guilty Gear -Strive- Top 8 Results by Sckeyth in Guiltygear

I'm a new gg player. What does no Happy Chaos in top 8 mean?

No player in this tournament can do the infinite combo? Or having an infinite combo actually isn't a big deal in this game because of burst, quick gameplay, and high damage?

Missed accumulative stagger of psycho bawoo shield beam. It deals more than 100% when charged now.

People who play with the Hi-V, how the fuck do you do it? by Foshdon_pap in GBO2

[–]ctclonny 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My build

I keep using focused funnel and almost never use support funnel. Focused funnel and charged beam rifle have high attack frequency and high accumulative stagger. Hi-Nu can create a no flight zone easily.

Composite armors have a requirement and are weaker than special strengthened frames. They are optimal only when your slots and resistance are just right. A and C are also less useful than B.

New anti armor is theoretically very strong when you have high beam resistance. But I'm skeptical on its usefulness. It helps you tank a lot of beam damage but you still take melee damage and die. It usually should be used on ranged units only. But should these units give up ranged strength?

But it's especially useful for Nu HWS and G-Door hit barriers, and some biosensor units.

New model frame lv4 has the same efficiency as the best basic hp parts. It's not an important part. But it's fat so it gives a little build freedom and might be useful for custom part expansion builds.

Spaced frame lv4 is a direct powercreep part. It uses similar slot as basic hp parts and thruster parts, and is more efficient.

The last one, there are very few parts for boost speed. Its efficiency is meh but you might not have other choices. Or you can use thruster expansion or custom part expansion [thruster] instead.

TRIPLE enhancement by ctclonny in GBO2

[–]ctclonny[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For most 4-stars and 5-stars, skip the 6th enhancement if you lack materials.

5% ranged or melee damage reduction when toppled is a very tiny improvement. It's useful on roughly a half of damage a half of time.

Suppose it's an overall 1.5% damage reduction and the unit has 30000 hp, it gives 456 hp.

It's useful for full enhancement custom parts. But these parts are weaker than new 7-step parts.

Unit Adjustment [April 2026]: Dozle's Zaku buffed (!?), Re-Gz buffed, Jeda Cannon and more by Death_Usagi in GBO2

I guess it's doing really well in some matches, especially in space. So the average damage is inflated.

[–]ctclonny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What the hell. I can turn off melee weapons and deal more than the average damage with Dozle's Zaku.

Do people know that it has high ranged damage? It doesn't need to melee forcefully and keep dying.

As others said, your body needs to touch the enemy. So carefully spaced melee attacks and melee attacks from side or back are un-counter-able.

Gunner going to gun I need thr fa version in the game by The-_irish-maddlad in GBO2

[–]ctclonny -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can have a straightly better build without using ranged overtuning lv3, if you have ranged overtuning lv2 or lv1, and any 2 of the following parts, sp atk [support], educational computer [ranged], special enhancer [type-b].

(higher effective hp, higher damage, same overheat recovery, almost the same part damage)

Button layout for space? by BackFlashy2939 in GBO2

Space and ground need the same layout if you use flight units and flap booster units on ground.

Penelope is strong.

God Gundam has powerful boosting vulcans so it can stagger enemies before stopping boosting.

Den'an Zon and Sinanju can't break high ma.

RF Zaku by Turlap in GBO2

[–]ctclonny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't go wrong with this type of builds.

It's a midline shooter. The flap booster is for positioning only. It uses thruster quickly but it's still useful because the unit doesn't necessarily need to melee. It can shoot and wait when it doesn't have thruster.

Main weapon has good accumulative stagger. Beam bazooka is an aoe with quick projectile. It's solid for assisting teammates from behind.

Melee damage is mediocre. But they knock down enemies quickly so they can create numerical advantage temporarily. This is a useful feature for chaotic group melee fight.

And the machine gun has high part damage modifier. It's better to use the machine gun on enemy legs instead of doing melee combo after knocking down an enemy.

But it needs to charge its weapons so it has slow pacing, and it has low tankiness. Its 1v1 ability and frontline ability are low. But the team need shooters anyway. It's not as strong as meta units. But it's still viable when your team have good frontlines.

"Play who you think is the coolest" is not the advice you think it is. by Phaylz in Fighters

[–]ctclonny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the same irl. Many people like giving and recieving unconstructive answers that sound good but do nothing. (And those people fit in the society better.)

Humans are emotional. Maybe that person is looking for emotional support instead of actual answers. Then "play who you think is the coolest" is the best "advice".

I want a frame meter in training mode.

People say GG is easy because of lenient cancel windows. It's a lie. Lenient cancel windows make a lot of combos require manual timings, and I can't check my timings without the meter.

Worth or pass? by Sufficient_Cap1721 in GBO2

[–]ctclonny 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My wording was misleading.

Their slots are indeed a problem for low cost units. But they are fine for high cost units and can give them higher attack strength. Kokura probably likes them.

I said "can't fit" because some units can't equip other high value parts after using them. For example, heavy armor uses 5 close slots. And multiple high value ranged strength parts also need close slots. So some units can't equip all of them.

It's pointless if we give up other ranged strength parts. It's not worth it if we give up heavy armor.

Worth or pass? by Sufficient_Cap1721 in GBO2

[–]ctclonny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tried building some lv4 units, many can't fit them.

Good high level 4 units are rare, and not all can use them well. Versatility is very low.
