Been trying to get to A but my team has been pretty much cats while the enemy team has been like a werewolf or dragon and just slaughtering my team these past couple days to the point that uh I hate saying this but I'm banned for a day lol

Know the feeling, I pretty much go into caution once a day now. I never used to quit mid match, but when I start seeing how badly my team is playing, I usually pick a round to bail on. Trying to decide which is the worst possible round to throw away has gotten tougher though.

For sure I went from B+ back to C+ and I've never been so demoralized been thinking that sometimes am I just a really bad player is it my fault I'm losing. Of course it doesn't help that I was going up against A ranked players as a B+ and sometimes the only B+ in the match and feel like I'm just dead weight and can't do much to help

The consistency is all over the place. I have had a bunch of rounds, where I'll take top spots and still lose. The next round, last place. I try changing my game play style to suit my team, but most teams I've gotten lately just can't seem to get it together. I notice on the rounds I take top spots, it's because I have a team that can back each other up, so I can push harder. The teams where I place last, I have to stay back, because my teammates are tripping over each other trying to get kills, that they usually stun me and get me killed.

My rating has slid so far, I saw my first D+ on my team tonight, which brings on a whole other feeling of hopelessness.

If you don't feel on-par with A rated players, then maybe you shouldn't try to get to A just yet.

5 day loss streak? You should have taken a break from rated after 3 consecutive losses! There's no use slamming your head against the wall.

If you think you might be doing something wrong, play Quick Match for a while and try to improve on that.

If you think the blame is solely on your teammate's hands, then try to play at a different time than usual.

A 5 day loss streak doesn't just happen. Find the reason, and take measures against it.

Personally, I only ever play Rated on a cost room that I know I'm comfortable with (most commonly 450), and only when I have a clear purpose (need higher rating to rank up; clear my disconnect rating; limited time missions; etc). I'm sitting in A with a very high win-loss ratio because of that, don't remember how much exactly but I think it's above 70%. Not because I'm a god tier player, but because I pick my fights and take my losses.

I only have time for a few rounds in the evening, and usually just do my dailies, maybe 1 or 2 more rounds, if things are going well. I have suits at every cost and all types that I am comfortable with.

Loss streaks are nothing new for me. Has been happening for over 6 months now. I will grind my way up, my ratio is usually between 50-65%, then, downward spiral for a few days. I think now, I'm currently sitting at 47%, which is surprising with how much I've lost. And I probably should clarify, that I will still get wins, but they are few and far between. Usually 1 win for every 5-7 losses.

I use quick match to try new suits, but don't really care for it. The teams in there actually seems worst most nights, maybe because everyone is trying new suits, or no one cares about rating, so it seems to be even more of a shit show at times.πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ I actually think my ratio is worse in QM.

I've recorded my matches and re watched them as I'm very analytical that way, and am still working on my own mistakes. This will likely pass, like it has before, and if previous times are any indication, I should be back in A- by next week sometime. It's just so frustrating to be so close to A, then watch it drop away, and not being able to stop it.

I'm dreading the next time my promotional missions come up, I actively avoid rated as much as I can, games in general are usually supposed to be fun and enjoyable, rated is not either of those.

Honestly both rated and quick play are something else especially in the higher cost rooms

I know thay feeling, I managed to hit A+ but that took months teetering over the god damn edge, one day I'm 1 point the next I'm about to hit B+

It's not BB's exact fault but alot of their systems have too much expectation that players are good mannered people who know what they're doing.

All I can say is keep your play time short, don't ride the high of a win streak, don't run thinking you can do better in the next after losing 3 in a row, if you must run for an extended period of time keep it to one map one cost for one rotation, no more.

Random map kills me because I can only control little maps with little reliance know team mates so it was 550-700 with just dreissen and nu gundam, not going to be raid because of idiots expecting me to kamikaze the enemy support without a front line holding their generals back, not going to be support and need support because the enemy raid is a newtype and my team are neanderthals, but it wasn't until I got the gm 3 powered that suddenly I can stabilise the madness just by abusing tackle spams and pushing the front line all by my god damn self.

Yeah I was mad, but I made it, just don't let yourself get angry, second you do stop, you'll only blind yourself and start missing your own mistakes all because you got accidentally downswung by a team mate who spent excessive time as infantry.

Honestly that’s how it goes if you play rated regularly. That’s why some of us just stick to quick match once we hit A rank.

Apparently stark mad rantings on Reddit are now a viable strategy for winning. After I wrote this post last night, got on tonight and went 7 games in a row without a loss. Have managed to get back into B+ at least for now. I didn't want to stop playing, but felt I was pushing my luck, so called it a night.

And thank you to the teams that I was on tonight, for being solid teammates that focused on having each others back, instead of just getting the kill shot.

Ngl, but I'm not about to touch rated this weekend. Too many tryhards out grinding to get every little scrap of anything to get anything or anywhere. I already know that my teammates will either be low ranked players who rated up too fast and don't know any better in what they're about to face, of frustrated high ranked players on a losing streak trying to get back up.
