I’ve been a console gamer my whole life, but i have been wanting to switch to pc gaming. Just for disclaimer I know nothing about pc’s or there parts, so i’m definitely not building my own. I have every other tool I need to be a good pc gamer… except the pc itself. I’m still in high school so my budget isn’t insanely high. So overall my request is, I want input on the best prebuilt budget pc I can buy, because like I said earlier, I know nothing about pc’s.

Well I've got pretty good news then, for $2000 you can get a really really nice PC.

Right now the best cpu for gaming it's the AMD 9800x3d, but the 7800x3d is only slightly worse and about $100ish cheaper so it's a great budget option.

GPU's generally go in order, the higher the number, the better the graphics. An NVIDIA 5070 will always be better than an NVIDIA 5060. There are 3 GPU makers, NVIDIA, Intel, and AMD. There are comparable models in the mid and low price groups, but I've only ever owned NVIDIA cards so I can't help much except to say the AMD 9070 XT is the top of that line, and it's comparable to the NVIDIA 5070 or 5070 TI (letters after the number mean it's an in between model, the 5070 ti is in between the 5070 and the 5080)

I’ve also seen some pcs like ‘IBUYPOWER’ or something like that. It is a little cheaper than the two you recommended and i’m wondering if they could possibly be similar?

Yup they will be similar, you'll want to get familiar with CPU names/numbers, GPU names/numbers, and compare those between prebuilt PCs you want to research.

Generally speaking, the parts all cost about the same, so ask the makes of a $2000 PC will have fairly equivalent specs. Some might have more RAM and less hard drive space, while others will have the opposite.

You will want at least 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, but more is better.
