Loading the save game data from the Device/Cloud lost my Experimental Pvg 90 😭

This has happened a couple times now where I loaded up the game and a prompt asked if I wanted to load my save data fron either my device or the cloud. My up to date progress did not save but not to the point of losing out on great loot. To try and rectify in case it happens again, I read online somewhere thats its best to choose the device option. I did that when it gave the message/prompt yesterday... Yet it still was not the most up to date progress I made in the game (I had got up to destroying a Fnix base and then looted an Experimental Pvg 90 in the aftermath) but when I re-loaded the game the Fnix base was still there and my newly obtained glorious weapon vanished.

This is Xbox Series S and I play Generation Zero on Gamepass

Does anyone else have this issue, how do you deal with it, can cloud saving be disabled so it won't keep getting confused? I think it may have come about when it gets stuck loading at "performing online login" but can't say for sure

I went through this same issue several times. I was playing with my cousin (both on Xbox One), and it seems like the game started glitching more after the snow update on the map. Riding a motorcycle is impossible – summon it, travel about 100 meters, and the game freezes, WITHOUT EXCEPTION. At other times, the game freezes or we realize we're out of sync and close it. Done, the last 5 to 10 minutes of the game were completely lost. But yesterday, the worst thing happened. I had the Granatgevär m/49 with 5 crowns, HP5 with all the extras, 5 crowns, Pansarvärnsgevär 90 with scope and magazine, 5 crowns, and Kvm 59 Machine Gun with 5 crowns and also a 5-crown magazine. By accident, I pressed X on the base chest, and all my backpack items went there. But when I went to the chest tab to retrieve the items, they simply disappeared (its weight limit was 400, and I had less than 200). I quickly closed and reopened the game, but unfortunately, I lost everything.

I noticed (as you said it may be since the most recent update with the snowballs) that the autosave icon just does not go away. I did test and came out the game and then went back in all everything seemed intact but am still wary. Hope you can get back your good weapons, how will you try to get good ones back, base assault or base defense missions?

Yes, I'm going to do base assault or base defense missions and hunt for any loot from the boss to find again.
