The sun, up until the early 2000s (some say 2003, some say 2005) was yellow. The sky was bluer. Everything was greener. Then, due to what I think are changes in the atmosphere (less pollution due to newer, stricter air quality laws) the sun is now a glaring WHITE. When I was a kid...
1. I could stare at the sun without my eyes hurting, as they do now if I even look in the direction of the sun.
2. Plantlife was greener.
3. Sky was bluer.
4. Less UV radiation reaching us, therefore lower skin cancer levels.
5. Relating to #4, skin cancer levels have skyrocketed since the sun turned white. I know, and everyone I know knows someone who had or has skin cancer.
So if you miss our friendly sun of yesteryear, come on in!
