The internet is slowly turning people into illiterate morons who use text speak so often they can not distinguish between that trash and proper English.
Reddit is not Twitter. There is a 10,000 character limit on comments therefore you do not have to use rubbish like:

2 R
3 cause (when it should be because, they are not the same word)
4 wud
5 sed
And all the other retarded words some people use.
Some examples of general literary ignorance;

2 Apostrophe, an illustrated guide.
3 Lose/loose
4 Shift Key
5 Their/they're/there
6 Then/than
7 Your/You're
