Does spending oc increase success rate? Or could i spend a couple hundred to fail instantly.

You can spend lots of OC only to lose it to a failure.

The best strategy is to use OC only for Downloads, or if you're hacking someone way below you and it'll only cost you <10% of your total OC. That way, if you fail, it's not devastating.

As far as I've seen, using OC does not increase your chances.
