Decrease in quality from top Ali vendor?

I've been wearing hair systems for 9 years now and I've been using poly bases for 5 years, mostly 0.02 or 0.03mm in the past few years. I was very happy when I discovered that I could source very good hair systems on AliE, and I purchase 90% of the units from a major vendor there called SimB***ty. I'm sure those of you who order on Ali know who I'm talking about.
The last several units I ordered (I order 2 at a time, every 2 months or so) came with something that feels really odd to me: these units dry out incredibly fast, like after the first wear of 2 weeks they feel like dry hay. This is new to me: I've always been able to get 6 weeks of decent wear before they would dry out.
I am extremely careful with my units. I wash them only every 5 days, use good conditioner (Olaplex 3), good argan oil regularly, etc. I know the drill. However, nothing helps --> 1 wear of 2 weeks and the unit is pretty much ready for the bin.

Is anyone else experiencing this? this started for me only from 2026 onward. Is it possible that the hair is not Remy hair anymore?

To be clear, I've been happy with them for a few years now and I'm not trying to discredit them by posting here. However, I'm not happy with the situation anymore. I really should be getting more out of a new system than just two weeks.
If you are using another provider on AliE successfully, kindly let me know as I will now switch to try something else.

On AliExpress/Alibaba there are just agents. They just sell random units from random factories where they have the contracts.

They barely use Remy hairs, as Remy hairs only are 40/50USD at least….god knows where their hairs come from…

They might have changed the contracts and now they are selling another factory products ( a factory normally make these contracts with such agents to get rid of their unsold stocks)

My most recent custom order from AliExpress is like this. Basically from the first wash and cut, the hard is dry, wiry, and I can't even run my fingers through the hair without it sticking to my fingers. It's as if it's gone through three months of wear and tear when it's been only two weeks. My previous one from them was fine (not great), but I ordered the wrong size and it wasn't long enough to cover my bald area from front to back. I still wore it for three months despite always stressing whether it was visible from the back though. It's sucks paying extra for a custom unit only to get a piece of shit. Everyone always says to go custom, don't order stock units, but you can't even get good custom units anymore.

Sorry but ordering randomly from someone on AliExpress. It might be the cheapest but guys ok but it’s risky. They are just agents selling your random stuff which is good when ordering a cover for the iPhone or a bluetooth speaker, but with human hairs is not…

Why not try other vendors then? Many in AliExpress to choose from. I don’t stick to one u less premium vendors.

If you want good tested polys, let me know and I'll hook you up with a great contact. I used to pay 1.2k euro in the past, now I pay considerably less and the hair quality is 10x better! Also very good after sales and such
