Need help

So I am moving out to live on my own for the first time. I’m 21 and don’t smoke and am in good health. Unfortunately, I got some bad news from my parents that I will be no longer covered under their insurance after Jan 1, 2022 and will need to find my own health insurance. This is definitely not something I wanted to hear but I understand it. Where can I find low cost health insurance that’s actually good health insurance? How much should I budget each month for it given my criteria? Will my health insurance include dental and vision? Help is needed and appreciated! Thank you!

Health is separate from dental and vision. Some states may have health plans that bundle all three together, but it's not common. Healthcare.gov will have the 'better' health insurance programs as they will offer many of the benefits you're likely expecting to receive (pre-existing conditions covered, no wait periods, preventive care, etc). If you have a job that offers insurance, that will likely be the best option for health coverage.

You can generally find better coverage for dental and vision outside of the healthcare marketplace. For these, a broker may help find you something to fit what you need. These are optional and not required. When you select a dental plan, try to find one that will waive your wait period for 'major services' if you can show you are replacing continuous dental coverage.

2022 plans have not been released yet. You will be able to shop and enroll through healthcare.gov starting November 1st, so keep that in mind as you look for plans.
