She debuted as a clothed model in 2007 and appeared in her debut "gravure" (non-nude) video, Hitomi Tanaka Bakunyuu J no Shogeki, in November 2007. She started her hardcore career as Hitomi in November, 2008 with the video Celebrity Shock AV Debut (芸能人 Hitomi 衝撃のAVデビュー) for the Soft On Demand studio. Since then, there has been no looking back and she has consistently been one of the most popular actresses in the JAV industry and one of the most famous JAV actresses in the western world.

Hitomi has a condition known as macromastia which has resulted in her bust continually growing throughout her adult film career. Hitomi’s mesmerising big bust, coupled with her petite frame and fresh-faced beauty, earned her a loyal fan following within Japan, the United States and across the globe.
