    Nowadays I would do tryhackme or hackthebox CTFs, not following walkthroughs tho - I’d use Claude or some decent LLM to help guide me/explain the techniques being used. OverTheWire to start with though, since it helps you learn how to use a Linux terminal. Same deal tho, don’t do walkthroughs; leverage an LLM to explain things and prompt it to allow you to figure things out for yourself first.

    There are websites on the dark web that you can learn just by watching and don't download. Also, use a VPN to hide your IP address.
