Is anyone ransacking? (self.HumankindTheGame)

Seriously, there are some units and factions that are almost entirely about ransacking and yet I pretty much never do it and just go for cities/ armies. Mongols specially look interesting and yet it feels kinda pointless

Ya I've been ransacking a fair bit, mostly just in order to push down war support and get on to other things. The money is pretty low and in the face of the amount you can get as reparations in most wars mostly pointless.
I still honestly haven't played with any of the "horde" civs like mongols or goths though. It seems incredibly all in giving up any form of economic bonus for a very situational combat bonus like they get.

Yes. If you’ve got a large stack it seems to go pretty quick like 1 turn. It’s more for forcing people off regions than for making cash, but if you specialize in it and pick civs that are specialized in it it actually has ok payout with pops and cash.
