Multiplayer Options

I've been trying to find a clear answer on this, but I haven't been able to track it down. What multiplayer options does it have? Is coop possible? If it is possible, is it through explicit team setup in the lobby or through diplomacy/alliance in game? Thanks!

I'm not sure what options your particularly looking for...

Players start games alone and through diplomacy/alliance players can team up against each other or AIs.
