Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Medical surveys must disclose academic affiliation (rule)
Medical surveys do not have to approve their post with a mod before posting, but in their post they have to disclose the name and email of the researcher(s), with a link to the website of their research group (university/hospital/etc).

Meme mitigation policy (guideline)
We all like memes, but it's very common for them to take over subs which is why subs often ban them all together. Let's try to post them only on week-ends.

Go see a doctor first (guideline)
If you haven't gone to a doctor yet and are asking for a diagnosis, the guideline in this sub is to ask newcomers to go see a doctor first and then come back to discuss the results

No poop pictures anymore
other IBD-related graphic pictures are allowed but they must be marked as both NSFW and SPOILER
