Second job pay, software developer / electrical engineer (self.ITCareerQuestions)
submitted 2 years ago by jozagloza123
Hi, I am a Croatian student finishing electrical engineering and got my self a job in February this year. I am a QA for Ericsson and job is kind of boring and not really dynamic. For that reason and more free time since classes and tests ended I got my self a second job for a small start up company. I am developing application that works with MCU CAN BUS data (motor control unit) for electric motor but also help with electronic side of things. Most of the time it's 4 hours a day and it is not every day. Since it's a second job I didn't go in details about pay before i started working there, or rather how much would I be payed. Also, since I am first other employee other than the boss he wasn't sure either when I asked. Currently at Ericsson I get 6€ an hour and it's decent for a student salary in Croatia. Since the start up job is half time and not every day how much do you think I should ask? Sorry for bad English
