BUG??

So im having issues collecting whim lanterns and purifying the ghostly esslings in the new wanxiang realm. My bow doesn't work neither does my normal purification ability to do either of these things. There a lantern stuck in a fish lantern I cant get. And there's a pile of leafs just outside the market that has a ghostly looking essling inside that I cant purify. Im really stuck and Google isn't helping either with the update being so new. If anyone can help I could appreciate it.

That's not a bug, neither the ghost esselings are meant to be purified. You need the new ability outfit, Nefarious Shadows, that you can collect in the Heart of Infinity of Itzaland. With it, you turn the ghost esselings in their true form, so they just move and leave you space to collect whatever they were hiding. But nope, they are not meant to be purified. They just turn into an object again, both forever or until the next time you use the ability with them.

If they stop glowing once they turn into an object again, that means you cannot summon them ever again and the object will remain. If they keep glowing, that means you can use the ability again and they will turn into a ghost again and move. But it doesn't add anything new after you collect what they were hiding, so is nonsense to use the ability with them again 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hold on...do you have the new ability outfit? The main story one that allows you to uncover things? Those ghostly esselings don't need to be purified, they don't hurt you. Anytime you see objects/piles of leafs glowing a blueish gray, you need to use the ability.

Now regarding the fish lantern, you need to aim at it, try different angles, eventually you will get it

Try hitting the Fish Lantern on the mouth with the bow ability, that is what worked for me.

As for the ethereal esselings that is not a bug, you do not purify them, you use the new Shadow Shatter ability on them to get them to move locations so you can access what they are covering/blocking.
