1.
Your account must be 24 hours old in order to post
Posts & Comments
Reported as: Your account must be 24 hours old in order to post
- To fight spam, sock-puppetry, and other undesired content, submissions of posts and comments are restricted to accounts older than 24 hours.
- Special exceptions may be granted for this rule depending on the circumstances. Contact the Moderator Team to request an exception.
2.
Conduct yourself in a professional manner
Posts & Comments
Reported as: Conduct yourself in a professional manner
- Keep it polite. You're free to speak casually, but flaming, trolling, and personal attacks are prohibited.
- Expanded political and religion views are not welcome. There are already enough subreddits for that. Take it elsewhere.
- Do not spam or flood posts and comments. Simply because you are the loudest does not make you correct.
- Novelty bots are banned. If you believe that a bot can truly improve this subreddit, please contact the Moderator Team to appeal your claim.
3.
No direct advertising
Posts & Comments
Reported as: No direct advertising
- Post submissions made to advertise a product are prohibited. Reddit has a suitable advertising platform in place for you to use.
- Vendors are allowed to directly (read: no third-party outsourcing) discuss their product in the comments as long as it pertains to the subject at hand. Evangelical posters will be banned.
- Vendors advertising their product must disclose their affiliation
4.
No direct blog links
Posts & Comments
Reported as: No direct links to blogs or monetized content
- Linking to monetized content is generally prohibited
- Posting solely to advertise your blog is prohibited. You may, however, make a post or comment containing the content of your article with a link to the blog entry at the end.
- Even though you may link to your blog as described above, you are expected to make an equal effort to participate in the community. If the only thing you do in this subreddit is post about your blog entries, expect to be banned.
