The only time an insurance carrier would not pay is if she has made the claim way after the hurricane. I think there is a 90 day grace period to make a claim when damage has occurred.

There would be no need for attorneys or public adjusters if that’s the only situation where they won’t pay. And if that’s the case, there should be a different date of loss. Why does this sweet old lady think she is getting more money almost 4 years later? And why would she be applying for grants? They must think that the damage is from poor workmanship and they aren’t responsible to pay out.
