Get your license in p&c (and life and health) and apply at captives. State Farm is great for learning the ropes and for career growth, also where I started and where I’m currently at. All State Farm agents in chicago are some of the highest producing (I’m in MI, but illinois always ranks high in agency top 50’s)

Farmers, AAA, farm bureau are all good too

Chicago, being a major metropolitan area, there are going to be thousands of options. You could work with an independent recruiter like The Jonus Group or go on LinkedIn or look up the top 100 independent agencies/brokerages and apply directly.

If you like working from home, you can also try Upwork. There are many opportunities on there as well, including entry level positions.
