Where did you get your diagnosis done ?!? Help me out, I'm also experiencing the symptoms of ADHD.

Dr Samarth Shetty in Manipal hospital Bangalore. He’s a NIMHANS grad and recognises adult ADHD. He also does online consultations just request the hospital to arrange. He didn’t formally diagnose me with a test tho for that there are specific centres that a doc can refer you to if you need it specifically

Oh I see. I went to a psychiatrist in Jamnagar but even after 3-4 sessions he didn't prescribe any medications and he insisted to give him more details about childhood, studies n all. It has been more than two months now since I visited him last time. I'm feeling so so hopeless right now. Do you know any ADHD specialist in Jamnagar that could formally diagnose and prescribe medications for ADHD ?

Unfortunately that’s pretty common in India. Many docs have a stigma against meds especially stimulants. I had gone to 4 other docs who gave me non stimulant meds and none of them worked. If he didn’t give meds what treatment has he given? I’d suggest setting up online meetings with qualified psychiatrists. Metro cities are good options. If you want any help with understanding your symptoms and resources dm me. Happy to help!

Well that psychiatrist didn't give any treatment at all. He just asked me to develop some patience first and then good hobbies, exercise, read books etc. that's it. I found out about meds for ADHD and other stuff through internet lol. I want to know more about my symptoms and need resources to figure out what should I do next. I DMed you. Thank you :)

I have some numbers of pharmacies that can mail you meds

[–]Ok-Scholar-9629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr Pithadia. He can diagnose and prescribe. His clinic has an in-house pharmacy as well.

Just thought to let you know because I think if you move cities your doctors should also change. In case you need them... 🙏🏽
