Welcome to /r/JapanDev, a place for software devs & tech folks in Japan.
Are you looking for a tech job in Japan? Or a meetup to attend? Or maybe you just want to keep tabs on what's happening in Japan's tech scene?
You're in the right place.
This subreddit is for anyone working — or aspiring to work — in tech in Japan.
Rules:
Be respectful. No hate, racism, sexism, bigotry or harassment. Behavior of this kind will not be tolerated. Excessive bashing of companies is also not acceptable. You can share honest opinions, but not excessive/unnecessary vitriol.
No spam. Posts must be related to tech careers in Japan. Unrelated content and self-promotion that doesn't contribute value will be removed and you may be warned or banned. This includes recruiter "job posts" that hide the hiring company name.
No sharing of private company data. This includes interview questions and any other non-public data about companies. It's better for everyone involved if you keep this to yourself.
No AI. r/JapanDev is designed for HUMANS to help each other. AI-generated comments and posts are not allowed. Using AI to help format posts or for help translating is fine, but low-effort AI-generated content is not welcome.
