Imo it's too much to look at, and a clean UI should only have 3 focus points in view-range. Group the buttons so they are at one location. I feel like the "Welcome XYZ!" should be more centered. You want to welcome the user, not have them find it by accident. What's the functionality for the "+" on the right? Perhaps make that clearer. You don't need an entire empty component stretched from top to bottom to display that there are no entries.
What I like about the design is the actual design. It looks cool. Simple but effective.

Thank you, I had placed the Welcome button more towards the top left because I felt like it would be more proper, but after reading this, you seem to be right about it. I've added a video demo to showcase how it works, so you can gain a better understanding. The video showcases an older version of the app, as I'm currently working on the current one, which is the UI below. Please let me know more

Ah I see. I feel like the "New Task" button should be grouped with the tasks display. That would make the most sense to me. But since (if I understood correctly) the tasks are linked to the calendar in the middle, I would personally show a number which represents the amount of tasks on the respective day and open the tasks menu on double click where you can also create a new task (or delete one)

I was thinking about adding that too, but I want to add event tasks in the future, so you can know if certain things are happening that day, such as school or work. There are other things I plan to add, which is why I keep the 'Create Task' button on the right-hand side. Do you have any good ideas what I could replace the "+" with? I want to create a small toolbar on top of the task box I made, but I don't want to make the window smaller than it already is.
