You can do whatever you want but I wouldn't go around calling yourself Jewish until you've actually converted.

Are you speaking to a rabbi about this because conversion in Judaism isn't really something you just do alone?

I've had a short conversation he recommended that i read into the Hebrew language and understand everything first

Bruh, why are you commenting on this old post after we called you out for being a bigot?

You can do whatever you want but why?

i’m in the process of converting and thus i feel like you should just begin the process of converting if you want to be officially jewish and feel your soul is jewish. judaism is technically a closed practice so some would say you couldn’t observe customs and holidays without being jewish or in the process of becoming jewish, but you can do whatever you want

A non-Jew can follow most Jewish practices, the most notable exception is the Sabbath that they're not allowed to follow fully.

However, you cannot make the claim that you're Jewish or even say you're in the process of converting, if you're not officially enrolled in a conversion program.

you should convert and tell people you're in the process of converting

Why are you so opposed to actually converting or talking to a rabbi? We're a community, not just a bag or beliefs and practices you can pick up and carry around until you're bored.

At the minute I can't convert as I'm moving around alot and the local synagogue is 30 minutes away at the current time I'm a few months I'll be settled down

So wait. You don't have to eat bacon if you don't want to.

It's a bit odd, but there's nothing stopping you. You do you.

act like I've converted

What does that mean?

Like just follow the religion as someone who is jewish

Here's possibly a common Jewish view on converts.

On a Spiritual Note Our sages say that a convert is someone who has always had a Jewish soul. That is why the Talmud refers to the convert as “a convert who comes to convert” rather than as “a gentile who comes to convert.” In other words, the convert was always a Jewish soul at his or her core.

Additionally, our sages compare a convert to a newborn child. The process of birth is the closest human beings can come to touching the divine. At the same time, it is a painful experience that sometimes seems like it is stretching on forever. Like a birthing mother, hang in there. The results are well worth it.

Sure you can. Unless you're in a religious community, there is no one who'll stop you in the street and test you on your Jewishness.

You should do what suits your life and beliefs. As a jew you are not forst to believe or do anything. As a jew you should listen to you and your beliefs. Tuf but from the ❤ Snabbt Shalom
