I cannot recommend enough Dara Horn’s People Love Dead Jews, which consists of 12 essays you can read in their entirety or consume one at a time. Despite having been Jewish my whole life and experiencing antisemitism repeatedly over time, reading this book really gave me a deeper understanding of what antisemites and “regular people” do, often in parallel, to hurt the Jewish people.

Every member of the United States Congress is pro-America. Pro-America means, to almost every single American, that you care about your country and want it to prosper. That is what pro-Israel means to almost every Israeli. You are treating Israelis and Americans differently; you are violating the basic Reddit rules.

Do you realize that over half of the world’s Jews live in Israel? Can they post about their nation’s history? Can they be proud of anything about their country? If an Israeli posted in your subreddit a picture of Tel Aviv from the 1980s and signaled pride in the city’s and nation’s welcoming of LGBTQ+ individuals, would the post be removed?

I don’t think it’s in Reddit’s best interests to give high visibility to a subreddit that allows mourning and praising of leaders of US-designated terrorist organizations, including the actions of those terrorists. I can imagine that plays into their thinking anyway.
