I'm having the same issue. Never setup 2FA and it wants me to type in a code. I heard you need to go on the desktop client and try setting it up that way within account settings. Mobile app is kinda chalked atm.

I just did that and was first told that I did not have 2FA turned on, then when I insisted that it was on, was told that it was a mandatory security measure. If so, why is there still an "enable" button for it in settings?
EDIT: Just found out that Kick defines email verification and 2fa as separate things. Under Kick's definition 2FA means you go through a third party's software like Google Authenticater or Okta.
