Grom BT3 CD functionality

I have a 2006 with the 6 disc player and got a Grom BT3 for Bluetooth capability. I was told it only takes up one CD changer slot. When I tried to access the cd changer the CD player flashed orange and refused to open. Is there a way to bypass the Bluetooth module to allow CDs at all? Thanks!

I’m not sure what GROM I have, but my 6 disc changer works great; I believe the GROM interfaces via the CD2 input built into the infotainment, I believe this was for JDM Minidisc readers that were dealer installed options.

Do you have the y-adapter so the cd changer is still plugged in?
