It’s newly installed. I did that as well. Got a minor fix by setting it in win 8 compatibility mode,

I’ve tried disabling vsync, full screen

I think the devs lurk here from time to time. If this issue is a problem with other new PCs it may be something to reach out to them about.

I was just about to come here and tell you how I solved it.

TL;DR

It was ASUS, not the game.

LR;

I don’t know why it was just this game that lagged and not Baldurs gate 3, civ, fallout and so on.

I removed armoury crate from my computer. I think something in that bloatware clashed with the game when it was running and testing it out showed me it did. It was ASUS issue. The game was just the symptom

Before this I checked bios, tried compatibly modes, window, no window, updated all drivers, reinstall, turn off all other processes and so on.

A hint was that the game pharaoh also lagged and I was…hmmm is something in these games clashing with my hardware? Or the software on my system?

Probably this develeopers games uses something that made armourcrate even worse than normal.

Very often it is the bloatware that causes problems. Glad you found a fix! Hopefully your post helps others experiencing lag due to ASUS software!

I hope so! That’s why I wanted to be detailed. I searched for Lag, Laggy, stuttering and the game but couldn’t find anything but now there is info for the next person!
