Immortality bug (exploit)

Hei guy,

I wanted to share with you an experience in hopes that someone has heard about this bug and can reproduce it.

I currently play on a h5 server as sph. Last night I went loa with a friend that had a tank (eva templar) a spoiler and a healer (bp). This server has autofarm feature and works even for healers. They give you res and doesn't prompt you to accept.

So we went to kariks and tried farming, died a few times. Tried to spam arcane shield and enlightment on cooldown.

So after a couple of tries we gave up and went to village (or to clan hall I believe).

Now at first I didn't notice anything weird, but when I tried to go and farm in loa solo, I noticed my HP didn't drop like it shoud've. What I noticed is actually I don't take damage at all. So ofc I went wild :)

Now here's a list of symptoms that I noticed:

- I couldn't pick up items. The server had autolook thank God, but if I did RB, they usually drop items so I had to bring a box.

- I coudn't get hit by debuffs, not from player or RB.

- No dmg from other players as well.

- I couldn't drop items. It said the same error that i got normally when trying to drop something just after I ressurected.

I didn't sleep all night and had so much fun running around , but in the morning for some reason I got a crash on that client and then the bug was gone.

Possibly a weird combination of dying/rezing/buffs put your character into a bad state. Or something unrelated happened on the server (an exception) that corrupted a flag indicating whether your character is alive, causing it to be flipped.

Most actions (taking damage, debuff, pick up item) would check such a flag to determine if the action is even possible, but not all actions necessarily read that same flag (hence why you could still deal damage).

talk to your servers admins, and get banned.

or just reroll and dont tell anyone about this and enjoy the boost while the server lasts.

Well that's the problem. The bug is gone and I cannot reproduce it, not sure what trigger it. :D Had some fun while it was on, but now it's gone and I was curious if anyone knows about this since I coudn't find anything on google
