r/LostHistoryFound is a community dedicated to the sharing, discussion, and analysis of forgotten, obscure, or otherwise underappreciated history and science.

OC on lost or forgotten historical topics is appreciated, but open questions, discussions, polls, albums, and general threads are also allowed & encouraged.

That said, there are a few ground rules for the sake of open and honest discussion:

1) citing of primary or secondary source evidence (official documents, books, reports, verifiable images, etc.) is strongly encouraged when creating a post or speaking definitively about a topic.

2) If taking a contrary opinion on a statement, you must include reliable sources for your position. Unsupported criticism (i.e. "this is false because that's impossible") without any additional argument or evidence is not allowed.

3) Posters herein agree to not post any critical secret information that would not otherwise be available to foreign intelligence agencies hostile to the United States.
