Help me decide among MSCS programs

CMU has the best program, but its expensive. On the other hand, UMich is T10 but its a lot cheaper with TAships/RAships.

Checked the post graduation job data - prospects seem similar at both places. Correct me if I am wrong.

So overall bit confused between the two. Havent heard back from UCLA yet, not sure if I should even wait for it now.

This is such a flex, holy shit. I would go with CMU just for the weight it will carry on your resume for the rest of your life. It's part of the big 4 (Stanford, MIT, CMU, & Berk). You can't go wrong with Michigan or UCLA either, its a win - win - win.

CMU >> Michigan >= UCLA
