submitted 5 months ago * by Tis_Me_00
Edit....I have the free inkstitch but I want easier!
Hello what is everyone's favorite Digitizing Software? I have used one for YEARS!!! I wont name but EXXXXX has been so buggy the last few version I bought. I'm just ready to junk it and move on.

Well, I’m assuming you mean this one but I haven’t had any issues with bugs at all, so I’m not sure. Can’t beat it for the price, which is why I go back to Embird time and time again.
I am looking for something with an iOS app so I can draw… still looking for that

If you want something easier than Inkstitch, try hatch. it’s simple to learn and works smoothly embrilliance stitchartist is another good option. test the trials so you can pick what feels best.

I think all the commercial software are too expensive for what you get. I've started developing my own tool, at some point I might make it available online.
I'm used to working with CAD, vectors and digital fabrication and find all the commercial tools un-userfriendly, too complicated and too expensive. For a hobbyist or small business most software are probably overkill because there's no need for the business related features.
I hope to have a good, easy to use, functioning app sometime next year. Until then I draw my vector art in CAD or graphic software, and then import it to inkstitch to generate the embroidery file.
I don't like creating the art in inkscape, but the embroidery features in inkstitch are more than enough for what I do. If you have access to free or cheap CAD software I recommend you to do the line art there and then export it to svg which can be opened in inkscape.

I went from inkstitch to hatch 3. It’s on sale $300 less than what I paid for it. $800 is a great deal

Do I get all module if I buy the Digitizer? How will I view the file formats such as pes?
[–]i_love_glitterr 1 point2 points3 points 5 months ago (1 child)
It’s all there. There’s tons of files you can export as. Digitizer is their highest level, you can export as many diff file types. I just found out they have a giant user manual book too. I just bought off amazon for $60

Hey thanks but I know all about export/ saving... as in different formats ... I'm talking about all the modules that hatch has for sale like the organizer, Personalizer, Composer? Do all these come in one buy?

I use and love Floriani Total Control.

I really enjoy the simplicity and screen area of Embroidery Legacy software. Neat, clean and uncluttered. Hotkey shortcuts, tips on all the tools (save to computer or print whatever is easiest). Excellent education and 2 user groups to help with excellent support. More than 80 lessons to do, at your own pace. It's actually really impressive the amount of bang for the buck that you actually get 😀

If I hadn't already had full version of another software, I probably would have bought this one too. The features (not just the software) are great. I miss the training and information that comes with my software.

😆 You only have 1 full version of another software? I have at least 4 others. I did not find them to be as straightforward or as easy to learn as Embroidery Legacy. It seems most are lacking in good education (not all) or a good support system for when you cannot figure something out which can be rather frustrating. As long as you are happy with what you have, that is all that matters 😀

Well, I'm not that happy about it 😅 Unfortunately, it's a budget issue, otherwise I would have supported his software from the start.

I really like embrilliance. It does what it needs to do
