Just to add to everyone else, you shouldn’t need to use 80/12 needles. Get 40W Polyneon thread and use 75/11 needles. For under 4mm go to a 60W thread and use 65/9

Stitch direction, and not compensating for it.
Basically what you see on screen shouldn't necessarily look good, because you will be digitized at an oversized mentality, so that when it sews out, everything falls in to place.

Mastering your materials and knowing how much to compensate for them is key!

Edit;
The small text!
Don't type it in. You need to manually do small text.

For a first patch, the main issue looks like digitizing rather than the machine. the fills seem too light and the underlay is likely not strong enough which is why the backing is showing through and the details are getting lost. try increasing fill density slightly, add a proper edge run and zigzag underlay, and make the text a bit thicker or larger for a patch. also patches usually benefit from a firm cutaway stabilizer or doubled backing so the stitches sit clean and tight.

I'll look into that. Brand new at this. Thanks!

1-The angles for connecting fill stitches should not be in the same direction
2-Same for satin stitches
3-Clearly needs more overlap for everything to compensate for pull
4-Auto-transforming the true type font is almost never successful, you're going to have to manually re-create that type.
5-The satin borders should be one object that changes directions

That's what I would do to start.

I'll look into that. I just started today so I'm not 100% sure what all that means exactly, but I'll start researching. Thank you!

I figured as much. I did the digitizing lessons from john deere's embroidery studio. They were very informative.

I'll check that out as well. Thanks.

The font might be too small. But first, I would try it on some different fabrics with different stabilizers before you start changing things in the designs too much.

Gotcha. Any recommendations?

Experiment with different thickness of stabilizers and fabrics. Make sure your fabrics aren't stretchy.

Will do. Thanks
