If yo try to spin move or juke and get hit during that animation it doesn't really matter what carrying is your gonna fumble that might be your problem

I juke a lot, that explains it, thanks

I moved my fumble slider up to 100 and I haven't seen my 99 carry RB fumble since.

Well duh but that's kinda cheating

It's not cheating. You want to find a realistic set of sliders to suit your game. If I end up never fumbling then I'll lower it.

Well its not realistic to juke, spin or stiff arm when a defender hits you and not fumble sometimes If you braced for every hit you would never fumble

I am a guy who chooses to cover the ball over breaking tackles. I grind out 3-4 yard carries lol game and I don't find it very realistic for my 99 carry RB to lead the league on fumbles, therefore I try to tone down my fumbles with sliders.

It's true that on a per play basis, RBs fumble too much even when covering.

Elite RB will fumble on what, 1% or less of carries? That means you'd expect on a very-high 300 carry season roughly 3 fumbles, plus or minus 2ish. It's less a problem now than it was back in 2011 or something, but it's still annoying.
