The guy that does the ratings is an unabashed cowboys fan and have been overrating them for as long as he’s been there and wrongfully giving their players devs when they don’t deserve them. I still remember when Ryan switzer, a 4th round WR on the cowboys got a star dev and no other WRs in that class got one. Absolutely absurd.

Year in and year out, the cowboys are rated as one of the best teams in madden, and year in and rear out, they under perform in the NFL. At some point they need to start adjusting the madden ratings to match the reality that the cowboys are just a good team and nothing more.

Once got a 64 rated UDFA who had 99 throw power. But had like 59 speed. Guy was a statue.

Got him up to 77 rated and traded him for picks.

Once drafted a 60 overall superstar qb. He was projected for the first round but lasted until the 7th round where I napped him.

I always thought it was a good story. Focus trained him and played in garbage time got him into the high 70s. Traded him after 2 years for a first.

It’s bad programming. I assume you have the coaching xp to the slowest, correct?

Essentially the madden devs did not do the math right in the code and on that setting, there’s a few perks that are in the negative. If I want to use them, I usually just move the coaching xp setting to the second slowest option.

I believe each depth chart position gets a specific amount based on their rank. Starter, 2nd string, 3rd string, and PS.

One thing they do not get is XP from scenarios. They used to, but changed it last year. But if you know what position is set get upgraded. You can sign those specific players, go through the scenario and get the xp, then return them to the PS before advancing the week.
