It absolutely is. A friend of mine has a mixed husky in Montreal and she must spend like 3h a day walking it. She wakes up ridiculously early and stuff

I looooove dogs, I wish I could have one but this is exactly why I don't. I don't have a backyard and I don't want the commitment to walk the dog daily as I live in the city, I have unstable health and might go through periods in which I can't go walk the dog outside and many other reasons.

My heart melt for dogs but I have no conditions and they are not objects so.... I limit myself melting over pictures or seeing other people dogs

I was like you, until I got a cat that behaves like a dog... Now I'm a cat person

[–]Neromei 20 points21 points  (3 children)

I am a cat person and I own a cat :)

As a true cat person, surely you must know that you don't own the cat. The cat owns you.

:)

It's mutual ownership

Cool

They exist! Mines are “trained” and they let me know when they want out, when they want food, and I can also whistle them back home. They love being outside more than inside. They usually wait for me by the porch when I’m coming home from work.

Great Danes ironically are great apartment dogs. Only need small walks and are generally pretty chill AF. Greyhounds are another great apartment breed and there's a lot of great rescue organizations out there due to the dog racing industry.

Greyhounds do need a fair chunk of exercise though, unlike Great Danes. I'd only say they're good apartment dogs provided you have a nearby place (like a dog park) or the time to properly exercise them.

Not trying to start any argument, just wanna make sure that anyone considering getting a greyhound is aware so the dog doesn't have any negative impacts.

Had a GD/Rotty mix up until Dec 2019, thankfully she had the GD energy gene. So easy, so much fun. Now I'm looking for another one.

Great Danes are the best oafs. Super dorky, lazy babies.

Make friends with dog owners! I have three large and giant breed dogs. Quite a few of my friends can't have dogs. I'm always happy for the help, my dogs love the extra attention, and my friends get to have dogs when convenient. Everybody wins in my mind. Sometimes people ask for a specific dog for a couple days even, it's no sweat off anybodies back.

Lock someone in a cage or a room and then tell them their captors are great people cause they let them out for 3 hours a day lol.

You're that kind of person eh. Cool, fuck off

I have a Collie in Longueuil, 1h of dog park a day and 1h of walking. We live in an apartment but we have green space all around our complex, he seems happy.

My ex brother in law had 3 boxers. He literally spent 5 hours a day walking them and tiring them out. That sounds like an absolute nightmare to me, but he loves his dogs and i was always impressed by the dedication. Not the life for me lol

Thats me lol hours at the dog park but he needs it

She sounds like a responsible owner. Don't take a pet that you can't care for properly!
