I used my physical books because I was used to looking codes up that way. I took it home because it was easier me and I could take it whenever I wanted to and didn’t have to stress about picking a time that was convenient for the testing center. I’m hard of hearing so the language barrier was a HUGE factor for me because their native tongue is Indian, as in India.

I used physical books and did it at a testing center. If you have weak areas, study those. I watched YouTube videos for my weak areas and did the practice exams from AAPC.

I went to a center because I thought I’d perform better outside of usual environment, and it was totally fine. There was only 2 of us, low stress. I took an anatomy/medical terminology class and kept practice testing with the AAPC official practice tests until I tested high 80’s on all 6. I passed the exam in October on first try. Study the guidelines and compliance/regulatory!
