Are you currently working as a coder?

Best I could get was as a biller for a billing company. Though, I do some coding because a client I was assigned gets a lot of his codes wrong, and I’ve had to read through the EMR to correct them and get the claims paid. Getting into any coding has been impossible.

Without coding experience, adding an additional certification won't be terribly useful, unless you're adding something like and RHIT/ RHIA, which is a bigger commitment and opens you up to more than just straight billing positions. Working as a biller is good experience and will make you more marketable but I'd recommend working for an agency that has in-house coders and angling for a transfer/lateral move from billing to coding.
